Well, I blogged earlier in the year about breaking my right hand. Well, not actually breaking it, but more like crushing it. I got stupid… I learned my lesson…

I crushed my last two metacarpals in May, the week before my birthday, and have had pain in my hand ever since. I have tried to walk it off, tried cortisone shots, tried wearing my brace, and nothing seemed to work. So, my doctor recommended to put a screw into my bones so that these crushed bones would fuse together and hopefully make it where the pain would subside for good.

Well, last Wednesday, October 17th, 2007, I had this surgery. The doctor screwed my bones together and asked me to not return to work until tomorrow, October 22nd, so that my hand can rest a little before I had to return to work and use it full time. The surgery went well, but the pain has been unbearable ever since. Hydrocodone can only do so much… The rest is just grin and bear it, I guess…

Below are two pictures of my unbandaged hand, one from day 3 and one from day 4 (today) after the surgery. Things look to be healing well but using the hand in a working full time sense scares the shnayow (pronounced shnay-ow) out of me.

Obviously, just like with any photos I post to my blog, you can click on the images above for a bigger version on my Flickr page. I’ll let yu know if things go terribly wrong in the healing process… My next doctor’s appointment is on the 25th at 1:00PM. If anything changes, I’ll keep you updated.

Until next time…

I figured I would throw this post out there just to give an update to you on some of the happening in my life lately. This basically covers the last week or so of my life and what’s been going on. I think I have kept everyone abreast of the happenings in my life up to this point. Let’s start with last weekend…

Friday night, Joey, a.k.a. WooleyBooger, and I played a newly released game for the Xbox 360, Crackdown™, over Xbox Live. We ran and drove around and caused a whole lot of destruction. Crackdown™ is a game very similar to the games in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. The only difference is that, like Saint’s Row which I also own and is also a game in this genre, the graphics and physics blow the GTA games away. Both of these games, Crackdown™ and Saint’s Row, are extremely awesome!

Over the weekend I watched a couple of movies that I have recently purchased on DVD. The first one I watched was Crossover. This movie is about street basketball and I was kind of disappointed. The acting in this movie, in my opinion, wasn’t the best. It seemed dry. Even Nick Cannon wasn’t on top of his game in this movie in my opinion. But, I watched it until the end. Overall, I enjoyed the movie. I mean, I spent money on it without knowing anything about it so I had to at least watch it from start to finish to get my money’s worth out of it. I would probably watch it again, just not any time soon.

The second movie I watched was SAW II. Like its predecessor, SAW II kept me in suspense and I was wondering what was going to happen next, what kind of gadgets would cause extreme physical harm to the characters in the movie, and who would ever think to do some of the things displayed in this movie. This was a good movie and I can’t wait to watch SAW III. Maybe this coming weekend I will be able to watch SAW III and one of the other DVDs I have recently purchased.

As I stated in a previous post, my brother-in-law Caleb came down to stay with me this week. I always enjoy his company and when he is at my house I normally see more of his older brother, Daniel, as well. However, this week I haven’t seen Daniel at all. He works at Red Lobster and works quite a bit so I’m sure he has been busy.

I have been playing World of Warcraft (WoW) a little bit this week. My Blood Elf Paladin is now up to level 11. Since my brother-in-law came to stay with me this week and he is playing the game, too. I have had a really good time playing it and enjoy “grinding” quests. Caleb and I have been doing a lot of messing around with the game and he has two characters going, a Blood Elf Rogue and a Blood Elf Mage. He is really good at these types of games and has been owning at Runescape for a while, so I’m sure he will be really good and a high level on WoW before too long.

I had a follow up visit with my gut doctor yesterday. He still seems to think that my stomach related issues are stress related and causing stress related IBS. He just told me to stay on my medication and to try and relax and not let things worry me as much. Easier said than done…

Anyway, I think my February has been pretty well covered. I have made quite a few posts this month and am happy about my writing experiences on the blog. If anyone gets any enjoyment from reading my random ramblings then great. If not, I really enjoy blogging and will keep it up if only for my own personal enjoyment!

until next time…

Winter Precipitation in Texarkana, ARA buddy of mine, Josh, and I were talking earlier today about a chance of snow we might get here in Texarkana, AR/TX. According to the Forecastfox (which I highly recommend for anyone interested in keeping up with the weather) for the Mozilla Firefox (which I highly recommend for anyone who is connected to the Internet and views web pages and content) web browser earlier today, we were to have a chance of snow and the temperature was expected to reach 40° for the high.

Warning: This post is a personal post. If you are looking for funny, video games, rap, or otherwise, this isn’t the post.

Lately things have been kind of up and down for me. I have had some marital issues which will end in divorce. I am also experiencing some health issues that I can’t seem to get over and the symptoms seem to be progressing daily. At least there is still breath in my lungs. Until there isn’t, I will just take it one day at a time.
