I didn’t walk or run yesterday… When I woke up, it was pouring rain outside… When I got home, I didn’t feel like doing anything…
Am I entitled to a sick/bad weather day?! I don’t believe I’ll have time to do my walking/running this evening either… We’ll see. I’d really like to get it in every day… Well, at least 6 days a week… I need to get healthy, get the blood flowing, heart rate up, see if I can;’t get something flowing around in the top of my dome so I can shake some of these ill feelings I have been having. I’m hoping to improve my decision making process… In my personal life at least… That’s where I seem to be struggling these days…
So, I know all 3 of my faithful readers know that I am personally going through some stuff… It will pass… I just need to do something to start feeling better about myself… Who cares if I get skinny (that’ll never happen), I just want to feel better… Physically and mentally…
Until next time…
I’m thinking that I’m so screwed up right now because I don’t have any sort of physical activity in my life, therefore, my blood doesn’t flow to all the vital parts of my being. This may be why I continue to make bad decisions… My blood is starving for oxygen and blood flow…
Yesterday, I walked 1.46 miles in just over 22 minutes. It felt good to walk, if only for the discipline factor… Using my Nike+ gear does help. I like gadgets and this helps encourage me to walk/run. I like the fact that I can visualize my walks/runs (no running yet, that’ll be in a few weeks). It also gives me stats as to how many calories I burn, my average pace (which is slow), etc.
Below is an updated “widget” that shows my last run stats. There is also a link to my last walk. Enjoy… I’m a loser!
Yesterday’s Walk… BTW, my pace is far from consistent…
Until next time…
Ok, ok, I didn’t walk/run yesterday… I know it’s wrong. I put in two days back to back and felt like trash yesterday so I went home and straight to bed… I’ll double up this evening. I’ll do my 15 minute walk that I should have done yesterday and then my “walk 5 minutes, run 1, walk 5, run 1, walk 5″ workout this evening a little later… I’m gonna make this work!
Until next time…
Well, I have recently reentered the 200+ club… Today I weighed in at 202.3 pounds… I have been feeling a little trashy… Not so much about my physical appearance, which is rough in itself, but just physically blah… I knew it was time for a change.
I had heard about the whole collaboration between Nike and Apple where you can put this nifty little device in your shoe, have it wirelessly transmit to an Apple iPod Nano, and then report your results from your walks/runs to the Nike+ Web site…
The Nike+ Web site allows you to keep track of your runs: the distance, time, calories burned, etc. It also lets you set goals for yourself and also provides training through pre-configured workout plans. Well, being the techie that I am, and the bigness that I sport, I decided to give this stuff a try.
Today was my first WALK and my first bit of exercise in quite sometime… I broke a sweat, my legs burned at first, but overall I really enjoyed it… My stats will constantly be updated in the block below. You can laugh and it won’t even hurt my feelings… But, and I do mean but, keep in mind that I still currently smoke a pack a day… which I hope to quit soon… I’ve already started eating grilled chicken wraps or grilled chicken salads pretty regularly… Anyway, that’s me…
Until next time…
Well, I went back to the doctor yesterday and he said things were healing fine. I paid $10 for a copy of my x-rays because the screw in my hand looks to be at least 1″ long. I am going to try and find a way to take a photo of it so I can post it on my Flickr page for all to see. It’s quite impressive.
The latest word: I continue to wear my brace for another month, taking it off only to shower. My next appointment is in 4 weeks from yesterday… I’ll keep you that care updated, and for those that don’t, don’t read posts titled “The Road to Recovery…”.
Until next time…
P.S. I had my stitches taken out yesterday as well… First time to have stitches removed… I’ve had staples removed before, which isn’t pleasant at all, but never stitches…
