Yes, I have been a little behind on posting information about my recent shots to the Fruitful Studios Blog. I am trying to stay on top of that and just wanted to let all 1.5 of my readers that it has been updated with a little information about a few recent shoots.
I have also updated the Fruitful Studios Portfolio with some new photos in the Senior Portraits, Ladies and Fellas sections. Be sure to check those out as well. And, there is still more to come to the Fruitful Studios Blog so please check back there often for recent updates and any special offers we may be having.

Until next time…
A while back I mentioned Fruitful Studios, a photography service I’m offering through my business Fruitful Solutions (new Web site coming soon… I promise). Well…
Yesterday morning, early, I launched my official Web site for my photography business, Fruitful Studios. The URL www.fruitfulstudios.com no longer points to my Flickr page, but to an actual Web site with informative (I hope) content, pricing, portfolio, JavaScript (with graceful degrading for non-JavaScript users - verified by Chris), and more.
Please look around the site and let me know what you think. I am very excited about this photography adventure and the design, look, and layout of my new Web site. Any comments are much appreciated.
Also, there is a blog associated with Fruitful Studios. The URL is blog.fruitfulstudios.com if you’re interested in keeping up with my business related photography work or news. Of course, a RSS feed is available there as well for those that subscribe.
Again, any comments, suggestions, constructive criticism is always welcome!
Until next time…
Well, I’ve been shooting a lot lately trying to get my portfolio together and what not. I hope to launch my price list and Fruitful Studios Web site on February 1st. I’ll post a few pictures here from some of my recent shoots and you guys can figure out the rest at www.fruitfulstudios.com, which currently redirects to my Flickr page.
First, there’s the “70s Me”… You can’t beat this!
The nieces…
The friends from work that are getting married this Summer…
The friends from work that help a brother build a portfolio…
… and then there’s the “70s Me”!
There’s always plenty of people to see here…
Until next time…
I have really been digging the photography stuff. I recently decided to start another Flickr page under the name Fruitful Studios. You can access this page at any time by going to www.fruitfulstudios.com. When I have some time to build my own photography Web site I will do it and it will be accessible via the same link (www.fruitfulstudios.com).
I am really having a good time shooting different things and then processing the images with cool effects in Photoshop CS2 and soon, Photoshop Lightroom.
I have a number of appointments setup over the next few weekends. This weekend, I will be one of two photographers at the CAF Celebrate Freedom airshow in Tulsa, Oklahoma, thanks to a buddy of mine, Scott, who is an extremely good photographer.
The weekend of the 17th and the 24th, I have a number of family photo shoots setup with some co-workers from my day job employer. The shoots will take place around Texarkana, including downtown, Bringle Lake, and Grady T. Wallace park in Liberty Eylau. I will post pictures of these 3 shoots as soon as I have them taken and processed. I’m looking forward to it.
Here are some of my latest photos/processing that are in the Fruitful Studios gallery on Flickr.
As always, click on the images above for a larger view. I hope you enjoy these shots and the ones to come!
Until next time…
I know most hardcore Web designers/developers don’t like the term “Web 2.0“. They get frustrated and state that Web 2.0 isn’t anything more than design and technology put together to provide end users with a rich application experience over the Internet, not a new version of the Web. Well, that’s what Web 2.0 has been defined as, so maybe “Web 2.0″ is “Web 2.0″… Confusing, huh?!
It’s kind of like saying that a non-denominational church isn’t a denomination when in fact, non-denomination is now determined to be a denomination like Baptist, Catholic, or Methodist, to name a few. So, the moral of this story is, if you say something isn’t something for so long, basically it becomes the very thing you don’t intend for it to be. And, only for the simple fact that the topic of interest will fall into a category of some sort because everything has to be categorized, whether you like it or not… Enough! On with the rest of my post…
I have mentioned rateTexarkana on this site a couple of times and am very pleased with what Randy has done with that site. It looks very “Web 2.0″. Randy’s adoption of new fangled design practices has spurred me into the new era of design, layout, and functionality. So, what better place to start than with my own personal business’ Web site?!
The Fruitful Solutions Web site, fruitfulsolutions.com, has been “under construction” for a few months now. I was working with one design but never was completely happy with it. Now, that I am venturing into these new ideas and concepts, I have a new fire for the direction of my Web site. I started the new design by revamping my logo. Below is the comparison:
Yesterday:

Today:

Once I had the logo redesigned with a little modern flair, and gloss, I decided to incorporate some color into the new design. You can check out my ideas, although not the finished design, by visiting www.fruitfulsolutions.com.
I’d love to hear what people think of this new design concept I am working to incorporate into my business’s Web site. Any and all opinions from “It is the greatest!” to “It sucks!” are welcome. Of course, I do retain the right to delete all negative comments… I mean, come on! This is my blog and it is my new design… Which I like very much!
Until next time…
