I got extremely crazy-wack this evening and decided to try the different settings on my camera. I was determined not to change any of the default settings on each of the different modes of my camera. I was just going to turn the function/mode knob on the top of the camera and see what happened.
Since the weather has been pretty chilly around here lately, I started a fire this evening and it burned for quite some time. When I got this wild hair to take the photos, the fire was down to the last few pieces of wood and was spitting and sputtering flames every now and then. It finally started burning pretty good and I decided to let the fireplace and the fire be my subject for tonight’s madness.
Please keep in mind that I am no photographer. I am very interested in digital photography, am reading books, some tutorials in the form of eBooks, and my manual for my camera, but am in no way, shape, or form, a “photographer”. Please don’t laugh at my infancy when it comes to these photos, and my subject for that matter. I was jacking around and I had a good time.
Below are some shots I think look pretty cool:
View the whole photo set on my Flickr page if you’re interested in seeing a fireplace doing its thing in 71 shots.
Until next time…
