Tonight, I added a Flickr photo page of a buddy of mine, Bruce, to my blogroll. Bruce has been a good friend of mine, and my family, for a while now and he is currently living in Phoenix, AZ and taking some beautiful photos of the landscape and sights that the area has to offer. His page can be found at www.flickr.com/photos/woodbits/.
I visited Bruce in Arizona last November and we took some road trips to the Apache Trail and to the Grand Canyon. We also kicked it around the Phoenix area and saw many wonderful sights. I think the countryside around there is extremely beautiful. I may post some photos that Bruce and I took on those trips to my Flickr page at some point in time as we saw some very beautiful sights while I was there.
Anyway, keep an eye on Bruce’s Flickr page as he is a great photographer and takes some great photos. Maybe its not his skills so much as it is his subjects! I don’t know…
Until next time…

Thanks for the mention. I still have some pictures to post from my crosscountry trip, that photoset is kind of a work in progress. And yeah, I’m not much of a photographer. I just press the button and pray for the best.
Us just farting our way down the Apache Trail will be one of my most fondly remembered days. The lady at the end trying to warn us about what we were getting into still makes me chuckle. I really should post some pictures from that day, the Superstition Mountains is one of the prettiest areas I’ve found here in southern Arizona.
You ever show up here again and we’ll try to take in a bit of southern Utah, but that’d be more than a simple day trip. Get your legs and lungs in shape and we’ll hike up a mountain. There are few feelings as satisfying as seeing the place you started walking a thousand feet below you.

You’re very welcome for the mention, Bruce. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of your photos from your trips. If you’d man up and pay the $30 a year for a pro account so you’d have unlimited upload bandwidth, I bet you could batch upload all of your photos in one night!
Anyway, I hope to make it back out there this year. Hopefully earlier than later as my head doesn’t do well in any type of sun, much less the hot desert sun of AZ.
I’ll call you later today and see what’s up since I didn’t get a chance to holler back at you last night!

Beautiful pictures, Bruce! Either you’re too modest, or your “praying for the best” is working!
