A buddy of mine, Josh, and I were talking earlier today about a chance of snow we might get here in Texarkana, AR/TX. According to the Forecastfox (which I highly recommend for anyone interested in keeping up with the weather) for the Mozilla Firefox (which I highly recommend for anyone who is connected to the Internet and views web pages and content) web browser earlier today, we were to have a chance of snow and the temperature was expected to reach 40° for the high.
Today, I came home sick again from work as I can’t seem to feel well for anything, and took a nap. When I woke up around 4:15 CST this afternoon I looked out my kitchen window and saw that the neighbors had what appeared t be snow in the valleys of their roof line. See the photo below:

Well, I like winter precipitation and I wanted to see if there was any on or around my house. So, I went outside and only found one place where the snow/sleet had accumulated. Below are some photos of it (don’t laugh, I need to have my siding power washed):

Anyway, we got some wintry mix/precipitation in NE Texas/SW Arkansas which is rare but it does happen. We didn’t get much, as you can tell from the photos, but it was enough to accumulate on a few roof tops and to wet down the roads. Since I love winter weather, well, not necessarily the temperatures, this is just enough for me. Maybe we will get some more. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow with a high of 40°.
If you hadn’t already figured this out, you can click on any of the above images in this entry for a larger version of the photo. I think the first picture posted in this entry looks pretty cool at the larger resolution due to the focal points. Check it out.
Until next time…
